Price Guide
How Much Does a Garden Sauna Cost?
Our garden saunas cost £11,394 to £19,794 including VAT — fully installed. Here's what that covers, what's optional, and what it costs to run.
The Short Answer
Installed Prices
Most sauna prices you see online are for the cabin alone, with the base, electrics and installation added later. Ours aren't. The 400 S, for two to four people, is £11,394 (£9,495 + VAT), and that's the whole job.
| Model | Size (W × D × H) | Inside | Seats | Heater | Installed, inc. VAT | Ex. VAT |

| Yakia 400 S | 150 × 202 × 216cm | 4.1m³ | 2–4 people | 6kW | £11,394 | £9,495 |
| Yakia 400 L | 229 × 229 × 235cm | 6.3m³ | 4 people | 9kW | £13,794 | £11,495 |
| Yakia 400 XL | 217 × 229 × 235cm | 7.1m³ | 4–6 people | 9kW | £16,194 | £13,495 |
| Yakia Ultima L | 225 × 230 × 255cm | 7m³ | 4–6 people | 9kW | £19,794 | £16,495 |
One Price, Whole Job
What's Included
- Free site survey
- Delivery to your home
- A prepared, level base
- Dedicated electrical connection by our qualified electrician
- Full assembly and installation
- Electric heater, sauna stones and LED lighting
The base
Every sauna needs a solid, square and level base with a moisture barrier — it's a condition of the Yakia warranty. We use a concrete slab, paving on a compacted sub-base, or ground screws on sloping plots.
The electrical connection
The heater needs its own circuit from your consumer unit — a 6kW heater draws around 26 amps, a 9kW heater around 39 amps. Our electrician installs and certifies it.
Delivery and installation
The 400 series is supplied as a kit and assembled on site, usually within a day. The Ultima L arrives fully assembled and is set in place on the base. Installation includes treating the external timber, which keeps the warranty valid. Short lead times.
Optional
Upgrades and Extras
- HUUM heater upgrade with UKU Wi-Fi app control
- Yakia accessory kit: bucket and liner, ladle, thermometer/hygrometer and sand timer
- Outdoor lighting, decking or a shower
Final prices depend on the upgrades and accessories you choose — we confirm everything in writing after the site survey.
Planning permission
Usually not needed — most garden saunas are permitted development. Much of Buckinghamshire falls within the Chilterns National Landscape, the Metropolitan Green Belt or a conservation area. A garden sauna is usually still permitted development, but height limits near boundaries and rules for listed buildings apply — we check your plot before you order.
Running Costs
At current UK electricity prices, a typical session costs roughly £1.50 to £3, including heat-up. The heater runs flat out for 30 to 45 minutes to reach temperature, then cycles on and off to hold it. Beyond that, budget for a coat of wood preservative on the outside each year and fresh sauna stones every 12 to 18 months.
Bespoke vs the Yakia Range
A Yakia cabin is the quickest and most cost-effective route to a proper garden sauna. If your plot needs something the range can't do — an unusual footprint, a changing room, a covered veranda — we design and build bespoke, priced per project.
